Evidently, Ruminatio refers to a monastic practice of reciting scripture in order to be inspired by God. And I apologize if that is a rough meaning for the term.
Honestly, I was going for a simple, one word title for a blog that I could discuss trends in new media.
I tried several different names for a site- my still personal favorite is 'No Rules Marketing'. But they were long, cumbersome.
Somehow, I came upon 'Ruminatio'. I saw that it was latin for rumination, or the act of ruminating, and voila!
It is fitting, to some degree, since new media is a bit like religion. There are 'Evangilists'. There is faith that advertising is going to work.
Well, I hope this site can be a useful tool for publishers and marketers...
